Last Friday, May 15, we gladly accompanied the commemorative event for the 64th anniversary of the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil, attending the cordial invitation extended by this prestigious institution with which the Casal Català de Guayaquil maintains a framework cooperation agreement.

During the ceremony, prominent university authorities participated, including the rector Walter Vicente Mera Ortiz; the academic vice-rector and great friend of the Casal, Florencio Compte Guerrero; as well as the dean of the Faculty of Architecture, María Fernanda Compte.

As part of this significant celebration, recognitions, medals and decorations were awarded to collaborators, teachers and managers of the university, in merit of their career and institutional contribution. Among the recognized people were the architect María Fernanda Compte and the architect Pablo Lee, both appreciated friends of the Casal, receiving their distinctions from the hands of the rector and the academic vice-rector.

We congratulate the entire university community for these 64 years of history, academic excellence and commitment to higher education in the country.
