Film morning with the painting collective

On Friday, August 21, after the usual session of the painting workshop, the group met at the Casal Català de Guayaquil to share a different morning around cinema and art.

The film chosen was The painter and the thief, a European film that starts from the relationship between an artist and the thief who steals one of her works, and invites us to reflect on art, life and human connections that may arise in the most unexpected places.

The projection was accompanied by tapas, with romesco sauce and scalded pepper, in a relaxed and close atmosphere that allowed to continue sharing beyond the brush and the fabric.

This activity is part of the meetings that the Casal promotes to strengthen the communities that have been consolidating. The painting collective today is much more than a workshop: it is a space for meeting, friendship, creativity and companionship, where each person contributes a part of himself and where, little by little, the Casal also becomes a shared house.
