We are grateful to the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Guayaquil for its openness and availability to host the proposal of the Casal Català de Guayaquil, which made possible the talk about the Island of Discord in the Auditorium Arq. Marta Donoso.

Our recognition to the dean Ricardo Andrés Sandoval for his institutional support, and to Felipe Molina for the coordination of this meeting, both architects committed to cultural dialogue.

Special thanks to Johnny Burgos, friend of the Casal and descendant of Catalans, professor of the Faculty, for his active and valuable participation.

The talk was given by the architect Santiago Barreiro, partner of the Casal Català de Guayaquil and director of Ràdio Internet of the Casal.
