Today we have put an end to our Mediterranean Cooking Workshops – Catalan Christmas cakes.
In this second and last meeting, 30 new students enjoyed learning history, recipes and tricks that filled the room with smells and flavors that announce Christmas.
A real party for the senses!
We thank the University of Guayaquil, the Faculty of Gastronomy, all the students and, of course, the chef Efrén Silva, professor of International Cuisine, for his dedication and enthusiasm.
In this second workshop we shared much more than recipes: we discovered the stories that give taste to Catalan Christmas.
We talked about the origin of three traditional desserts, the joy of toasting with cava and how nuts, candied fruits and citrus give each recipe a touch of exquisiteness.
Because at these dates, cooking becomes a way to offer the best of ourselves, to celebrate family, table and tradition.
